NORWOOD ANNEXATION NO. 3, 1892 |
Norwood's third annexation was in 1892. Village Ordinance No. 445 provided for the annexation of certain adjacent territory as requested by Edwin McMillan and others. The Ordinance was passed by Council on November 7, 1892. It was signed by Aaron McNeill, Mayor and President of Council, and W. E. Wichgar, Clerk. |
"Description of Property Accepted for Annexation by Ordinance No. 445" —From page 21 of The General Ordinances of the Incorporated Village of Norwood, Hamilton County, Ohio - In Force October 1, 1899. It was published by Order of Council "to include ordinances of general nature up to and including the meeting of September 18, 1899." The book was published under the direction of William R. Collins, Solicitor of Norwood, and published by W. H. Anderson & Co., Law Book Publishers, Cincinnati. |
Note
The property was bounded on the west by the center line of Montgomery Road, on the north by the north side of Hudson Avenue, on the east by the center line of Regent Avenue, and on the south by the southern property line of Cleneay's Sunnyside Subdivision (the railroad tracks?). The streets involved are: Montgomery Road, Hudson Avenue, Cleneay Avenue, Lexington Avenue and Regent Avenue.
