"Civil War" House
(1864-1950).

Civil War House, so named because GAR meetings were held here for years after the war.

The "Civil War" House was so named because it was used as a meeting place for veterans of the GAR (The Grand Army of the Republic) for around fifty years. In 1950, the building was condemned by the city and demolished. Today, it is part of the parking lot for a CVS Drug Store.
