Burger Chef restaurant was located at the northeast corner of Montgomery Road and Monroe Avenue as an out-building in the Surrey Square parking lot. This August 21, 1975 newspaper advertsment announced the grand opening of the store that weekend. Later, the building was occupied by Hardee's, another fast food restaurant, which also closed. The building has been demolished with the complete remodeling of the shopping center.
