The dispute between the Bullock company and the water-works trustees of Norwood, regarding the alleged high rate the former has been required to pay for water, is in a fair way of being settled. The trustees have made the company a rate of eleven cents per 1,000 cubic feet. This rate seems to be satisfactory to the firm, for their only contention now is that a reduction of one cent per 1,000 cubic feet should be made in the next bill rendered, as the company claims that it was not notified of the recent raise from ten to fifteen cents at the time the same was made and therefore it is entitled to the former rates."
